SUMMER BRUNCH, June 22, 2024
All women are invited to our Summer Brunch with a guest speaker
Patti Gallagher Mansfield. Patti participated in the historic "Duquesne Weekend" in February 1967, which marked the beginning of the Charismatic Renewal in the Catholic Church. She has ministered at conferences for laity and priests on five continents, proclaiming the grace of Baptism in the Spirit.
She is the author of As By A New Pentecost, Proclaim the Joy of the Gospel, Everyday Holiness, and Magnificat: A Mother's Reflections on Mary. In June 2014, in Rome's Olympic Stadium, Pope Francis acknowledged Patti as "one of the first to experience the Spirit in an intense way." In 2017, she was privileged to be seated by the Pope's side at the Golden Jubilee Vigil of Pentecost.
Patti is married to Al Mansfield, former Director of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of New Orleans. They have four children and twelve grandchildren. In the Jubilee Year 2000, the Mansfields were awarded the Papal Medal, Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice (For the Church and the Pope), by Saint John Paul II.

Magnificat-Omaha, NE has been approved by Archbishop George Lucas as an official organization for women's evangelization in the Archdiocese of Omaha. We have been hosting Brunches for over six years and are a chapter in the Magnificat Ministry International.
The International Organization was the inspiration of the late Bishop Stanley J. Ott with the encouragement of the late Archbishop Philip Hannan of New Orleans. The first function, a prayer breakfast, took place on October 7, 1981.
Now, there are over 80 MAGNIFICAT Chapters in the world. MAGNIFICAT ministers to those women whose faith in the person of Jesus Christ has allowed them to believe in the activity of God’s Spirit in their lives. It also has great appeal to those women who may be struggling with faith or who have lost touch with the Church. It is a valuable evangelistic tool.

“My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, my spirit rejoices in God my Savior…The mighty ONE has done great things for me, Holy is His name.” Luke 1:46-49
In these words of the Magnificat, Mary proclaimed to Elizabeth her gratitude for the wonderful action of God in her life. Please join us at a brunch for all women where we too will share together in that same spirit of gratitude and praise of God. After the meal, there will be a time of prayer for the needs of all present and an opportunity to hear Kitty share her personal encounter with Jesus the Messiah and her Advent music. You will be inspired by Kitty's beautiful message in word and song. Please plan to come and bring a friend to rejoice in the presence of the Lord.
